Tugas dan Wewenang Kementerian :
· Mengkoordinasi mentri-mentri pada kementrian terkait dan instansi lain yang dianggap perlu.
· Mengkoordinasi penyusunan kebijakan.
· Menampung juga mengusahakan penyelesaian masalah-masalah yang timbul dalam bidang koordinasinya serta mengikuti perkembangan keadaannya.
· Melakukan koordinasi seerat-eratnya mengenai penanganan masalah-masalah yang mempunyai sangkut paut antar bidang koordinasi dengan para Menteri Koordinator lainnya.
· Menyampaikan laporan dan bahan keterangan serta saran-saran dan pertimbangan dibidang tanggung jawabnya kepada Presiden.
